First redesign

Problems:
  • Users struggled to find features, and with more being added, the need for clear grouping became critical. The solution had to be scalable.
  • There was no sorting or search functionality for documents or their content, which was crucial for power users managing 50+ documents in the app.
  • Changes had to be done smoothly to ensure our tens of millions of active users experienced a seamless transition, without any sudden, jarring changes.
Updated designs
Through card sorting user research, we restructured the app into a cleaner, scalable design, making features easier to find. Sorting and search functionality was added to support power users with 50+ documents, all while ensuring a seamless transition for tens of millions of active users. The changes improved usability without impacting crucial metrics or alienating existing users.
Global marketing challenges

Next, I addressed more strategic challenges and scaling features.

We identified two significant global marketing challenges.

● First, our user base was primarily aged 27 and above, neglecting the potential student market.
● Secondly, despite constant app enhancements, our promotional efforts were lacking. We needed a better way to capture user attention and showcase new features right in the app.

The Solution
We revamped the toolbar by adding 'Home' and 'Profile' tabs, enabling better feature representation and clearer app updates.

A 13% boost in prime package sales through improved feature funnels.

Qualitative testing revealed greater user clarity, positively impacting
overall user metrics.
The project taught me to think globally and make decisions on a scale that involve tens of millions of current users. I gained expertise in seamless implementation of global changes to attract a new audiences while ensuring satisfaction among existing users.

I am proud to say that I made significant enhancements in the project and increased user experience for millions of daily users.
